For our 2004 Intra-club Challenge Match we divided the teams geographically, with San Mateo (gold/red) vs. the Greater Bay Area (white/blue/grey hoops). More photos below.




The NCCC's Second Annual Intra-club Challenge Match took place on a beautiful November afternoon, the rains having come and gone, the field in great shape.

This may well have been our most competitive and well played game yet. The teams were well balanced and the play was hard fought throughout... through 55 minutes (we began with two 30 minute halves) there was no score! At the very end of the second half the San Mateo Hooligans scored a single tally. But in our "third half" (which we played sans referee but with almost a full compliment of players) the Greater Bay Area Maniacs managed an equalizing goal so after 90 minutes of shinty we had a draw!

Afterwards we adjourned to a nearby British pub (the wonderful Duke of Edinburgh) and enjoyed adult beverage(s!) along with some tasty meals. A great cap stone to our accomplishments on the field this year, and a really fun gathering for our members.
